Written by Benjamin

The world is progressing, and so is technology.

With the evolution of science, it has become easier to maintain and keep track of things through various applications.

Likewise, it is the same for the money deposited in various accounts.

United Payment Interface (UPI) is now the leading payment method in India.

The system was launched in 2016, and its function is to accommodate several bank accounts into one mobile application.

It also assists in the transfer of money as well as online payments.

The  Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) solution brought up by the NCR Corporation working on UPI platforms will allow customers to withdraw money through UPI apps.

The UPI application includes Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and many other applications.

This saves a lot of trouble for the users, which includes the need to carry the ATM card and memorising ATM PINs.

An ATM, along with a UPI-based app having an active internet connection, are the only requirements.

But this system of withdrawal has an upper limit of Rs 5,000.

Steps to Follow For Withdrawal of Cash From ATM using UPI:

Things that are primarily required are:

  1. An ATM machine with available UPI service.
  2. Any UPI based application, for example-Paytm.
  3. A proper internet connection.

Steps To Follow To Withdraw Money From ATM Machine:

  2. Choose the ‘UPI’ option from the ATM.
  3. The ATM screen displays a QR code.
  4. Open the QR code scanner in your UPI based payment application.
  5. After scanning the code, you must put in the amount you wish to withdraw. It must be within Rs 5,000.
  6. Now, carefully put in the UPI pin.
  7. Tap on the ‘Hit Proceed’ option.
  8. The money now can be withdrawn.

With the development of technology, there are advantages as well as disadvantages.

With the help of technology, people can fool many people and invade their privacy.

So, it is always necessary to guarantee security. Although this method is entirely secure, there is no harm in taking precautions.

When you are about to withdraw money from an ATM machine, always be on guard and see what is happening around you.

Remember to examine the machine prior to using it and when you are entering the personal identification number (PIN), shield it with your hand.
